After starting our Avelyn SonShine Journey when our daughter passed away in 2014, a few years later we expanded our mission from not only giving away children's bibles to also sharing our passion for volleyball & our love for Jesus with others, starting with faith-based youth volleyball clinics in Spring Hill, KS in 2017. As of 2021 we further expanded to form SonShine Volleyball Club.
SonShine Athletic Academy had its first ever Summer Volleyball Camp last year and we are looking forward to our 2nd Annual in July! It will once again be held at The Max Jones Fieldhouse in Goodland, KS. Our vision for this VB camp continues to be to help athletes improve their volleyball skills, as well as to encourage all involved to be coachable, love on others, become even better teammates, and to Let Their Light Shine! Coaches for the camp come with an immense amount of volleyball knowledge and experience coaching volleyball @ nearly all levels - from Division I all the way to youth VB clinics - and nearly every level in between including NAIA, junior college, high school, junior high, and girls and boys club teams in various areas of the Midwest, as well as coaches who are former and current collegiate athletes.
